Arsenal fans rubbed salt in the wounds of Chelsea with an X-rated chant following Kai Havertz's double in the 5-0 win.

The versatile German forward was on target twice in the second half against his former employers following his £65million switch last summer.

Havertz was the subject of ridicule from Blues supporters having struggled to settle in north London at first.

But he has been in lethal form in 2024, and was quick to revel in Chelsea's misery when he put Mikel Arteta's men 3-0 up in the 57th minute.

Racing onto a pass of the season contender from Martin Odegaard, he powered past Marc Cucurella before firing into the roof of the net.

And instead of a muted celebration, he sprinted to the corner flag to pull of a knee slide.

Just eight minutes later, he then found the back of the net for a second time as he smacked an effort in-off the post.

Arsenal fans were in dreamland, and were quick to taunt the Chelsea fans in the away end.

They sang in unison: "He left 'cause you're s***, he left 'cause you're s***, Kai Havertz, he left 'cause you're s***."

Havertz now has 11 Premier League goals this campaign, and has been directly involved in as many strikes in his last ten appearances.

And in what is his first brace for Arsenal, he has become the first ex-Chelsea player to bang in a double against the west Londoners in the Premier League.

It took just five minutes for Arsenal to take the lead, with Leandro Trossard firing in from close range for his 15th of the campaign.

Ben White doubled the hosts' lead shortly after the break, with Havertz's double making it 4-0.

And White then got on the score sheet for a second time, as he expertly volleyed home after being picked out by Odegaard.

Arsenal now sit three points clear at the top of the table - a whopping 30 points clear of Chelsea.
