Daniel Taylor – a journalist for The Athletic – has claimed on Twitter that Nottingham Forest loan man Arijanet Muric struggled with off-pitch problems during his difficult loan spell at the City Ground.
Manchester City youngster Arijanet Muric joined Nottingham Forest on loan in the summer transfer window prior to the start of the 2019/20 season. He came in to be Sabri Lamouchi’s number one choice in between the sticks but after a difficult start, he was unable to nail down a starting spot.
Now, it has been reported that Muric struggled with off-pitch issues during his time at the City Ground. The Athletic journalist Daniel Taylor has reported on Twitter that he did not mix with other players in the dressing room despite the efforts of some of the club’s senior players. Time-keeping is also said to have been a problem during his time on loan with the club.
It doesn't surprise me. Some of the senior players tried to involve him – but not easy getting through to him. Too much poor time-keeping, on his phone in dressing room etc. Didn't really mix well. Mate used to pick him up in orange Mustang and then he was gone …

Muric played in only five games for Nottingham Forest. He started in the first four Championship games but after errors, Brice Samba took his spot and has been a star performer for Forest. Muric played once in the EFL Cup as Forest fell to a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal and has not played for the club since then.
Muric has since returned to parent club Manchester City so it will be interesting to see how his summer transfer window pans out after a difficult loan spell with Nottingham Forest. Ederson has the number one spot locked down at City so another loan move could await the young ‘keeper.
