He even completed the London Marathon just two weeks later and has now been revelling in what is no doubt an outstanding feat.

On Thursday night, Brighton fan Cook was in attendance for their home clash against Manchester City and stood pitch-side before kick-off.

During the warm-ups, City star Grealish was on hand to say hello and did so by giving him a warm hug.

"What a legend! I've been watching your stuff," he said before shaking his hand and ending their wholesome meet with: "Congratulations."

Speaking to Sky Sports, he revealed his excitement at being back at the American Express Stadium for the crucial clash.

"I'm buzzing to be back! I haven't been here for a while, obviously been a bit busy. My dad and granddad are up there somewhere so I'm going to go find them in a minute.

"We used to all come down together, some of my best memories as a kid coming down, so great to be back."

The 'Hardest Geezer' also predicted for Brighton to beat City 3-2, but this didn't come true on the night.
