Luke Littler had the last laugh as he taunted booing darts fans in his Premier League night 13 victory Liverpool.

Littler, a die-hard Manchester United fan, was prepared for a tricky reception in the Premier League on Thursday night as he took to the stage in Liverpool for night 13 of the competition.

Preparing to make his way to the stage for his quarter-final clash with Gerwyn Price, the 17-year-old was met with loud boos from sections of the fanbase at the M&S Bank Arena.

But Littler, who's mocked Liverpool's misfortune on his social media this season, wasn't deterred as he cupped his ears and gestured for the crowd to chant louder.

He then silenced them once and for all by gesture 2-0 to those in attendance.

Of course Littler was referencing the scoreline from Liverpool's clash with arch-rivals Everton in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

In a brave move, Littler then did the gesture again when on stage, ahead of his match.

That 2-0 scoreline was a huge shock and all-but ended the Reds' hopes of securing the Premier League title.

That is due to Arsenal being three points ahead of them with four games remaining, while Man City have the chance to storm clear if they win their games in hand.

It even led to Everton's official X account posting: "Luke Littler knows the score at the #PLDarts Liverpool!"

Littler was loving life on the stage in Liverpool and beat Price 6-3 to move into the semi-finals where he faced Nathan Aspinall.

In doing so, Littler relished the pantomime villain role as he shushed the crowd, cupped his ear and urged them to calm down during a comeback victory that was full of showmanship.

Littler then faced Rob Cross in the Premier League night 13 final and secured a 6-2 win for his third night win of the season and to cement his spot at the top of the table.
