Wolves 0-2 Arsenal LIVE REACTION: Odegaard goal sees Gunners make history and leapfrog Man City after nightmare week of defeats

Arsenal leapfrogged Manchester City after returning to the top of the table following a hard-fought 2-0 win against Wolves.

Leandro Trossard and Martin Odegaard found the back of the net in either half as the Gunners moved a point clear of the champions.

Belgian forward Trossard was found by Gabriel Jesus just inside the box before the break, where his scuffed effort bounced off the post and into the back of the net.

Odegaard then found the back of the net in second-half stoppage time from an acute angle to end Arsenal’s two-game losing streak.

Arsenal could increase their lead to four points over Pep Guardiola’s men should they beat rivals Chelsea on Tuesday.

As for Wolves, they missed out on the chance to move into the top ten, as they remain in 11th spot.
