Rio Ferdinand could not sing Jude Bellingham's praises any higher after the Real Madrid star joined TNT Sports for an interview.

Bellingham spoke to Ferdinand, Laura Woods and Joleon Lescott after Madrid knocked out Man City on penalties at the Etihad Stadium.

The England midfielder scored a spot-kick himself as he continues to dazzle in a brilliant first season for the Spanish giants.

It's easy to forget he is still only 20 years of age.

The interview he gave to TNT Sports showed just how much of a mature head he has on his shoulders.

Mid-interview, Ferdinand said: "How's he answering these questions so eloquently?

"Tell me how old you are, bro?"

This was after he gave a brilliant answer to the pressure and weight of expectation of playing for Real Madrid.

Bellingham said: "I think you've got to see it as a responsibility more than a pressure.

"If you want to come to a club like Real Madrid then you have to be willing to be criticised, be under that scrutiny and under that spotlight.

"The club do a great job and if they don't think you are ready they will ease you in. But if you are here then they probably think you can handle it."

After Bellingham had left the interview, Ferdinand then added: “He’s the type of person… if your daughter is going to bring someone home that’s what you want them to come with.”

A Champions League semi-final showdown against Harry Kane's Bayern Munich now beckons for Bellingham and Real Madrid.

This means that at least one Englishman will be at the final at Wembley on June 1.
